Tower of Babel

The Tower of Babel is a gorgeous half-day scramble that starts from Moraine Lake in Banff National Park.

*Helmets should be worn on this hike!

Directions:

From the Moraine Lake parking lot head past the washrooms and towards the large rock pile. Turn off on the path towards Consolation Lakes. Follow this path for about 5 minutes and to your right you will see a large boulder field with multiple paths and carins. Follow your chosen path up and aim for the gully between the two mountains. Scramble up the scree gully (1 step forward, 2 steps back kind of terrain). Eventually you will reach the top and be granted with gorgeous views of Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks.
